After nine years, Mr. and Mrs. Smith are finally, Mr. and Mrs. Pitt! According to the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s spokesman, the couple wed during a secret getaway at Château Miraval in France this past weekend. The private ceremony was held in a small chapel with family and friends as attendees.
Pitt, 50, proposed to Jolie, 39, in 2012. Their six children happily participated in the wedding. Jolie was escorted down the aisle by her oldest sons, while the other four threw petals and acted as ring bearers.
Pitt told “E! News” that he and Jolie felt pressure from the kids to marry. “We didn’t realize how much it meant to them and then, in getting engaged, how much it also means to us,” said the new hubby.

Pitt and Jolie made a name for themselves through humanitarian work to taking extreme measures to prevent cancer. Jolie lost her mother, Marchelline Bertrand, to breast cancer in 2007, as well as her grandmother and great-grandmother. So she decided to take her fate into her own hands — by opting to have a double mastectomy.
When the couple appeared on the red carpet for the premier of World War Z, Pitt supported her by telling reporters, “The fact that she would not be frightened of this, what she would have to go through to do this, to take this spectre away from our family, I get very emotional about it. It means the world to me.”
True love at its finest. This is Pitt’s second marriage. His first with Jennifer Aniston ended in 2005. Jolie has been married to Billie Bob Thorton and Jonny Lee Miller.
