The sister of the Boston Marathon bombers has been charged with aggravated harassment for threatening to bomb her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. Aliana Tsarnaev of New Jersey had an ongoing feud with the unnamed woman, who is also the mother of the boyfriend’s children. On Monday, the victim, who lives in Harlem, alleges Tsarnaev threatened to “have people who can go up there and put a bomb on you.” On Wednesday, 23-year-old Tsarnaev was taken into custody.
Aliana is the sibling of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the duo accused of bombing the 2013 Boston Marathon. Tamerlan was killed four days after the attack in a police shootout, and Dzhokhar is awaiting trial.

The brothers allegedly made homemade bombs with pressure cookers, detonating them near the finish line of the race. The explosives killed three people, including an eight-year-old boy. Over 260 people were injured, with sixteen of them losing limbs.
The brothers are also accused in the killing of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer in the aftermath of the bombings.
