The show’s lead actress Laverne Cox, reality star, actress and LGBTQ advocate was nominated for her supporting role along with scene-stealer “Crazy Eyes” Uzo Aduba. Cox makes history today as the first transgender actress to be nominated for an Emmy Award and shared her excitement via Twitter.
