As 2012 comes to a close, the accolades for Kerry Washington keep rolling in. The 35-year-old actress has been nominated for a pair of NAACP Image Awards for her work on ABC’s hit series Scandal and Django Unchained, out this month.
Our Dec./Jan. covergirl will go head-to-head with Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games), Gloria Reuben (Lincoln), Phylicia Rashad (Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds) and Taraji P. Henson (Think Like a Man) in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture. Buzz around the Quentin Tarantino-directed flick could give Washington a slight edge over the competition.
