CNN’s Don Lemon and actor-comedian Jonah Hill are the latest–and probably most unlikely–pair to launch a Twitter war. Lemon aired his gripe with Hill on CNN’s Starting Point on Friday morning.
Lemon explained to the morning roundtable, the fight began Thursday night when he posted a remark on Twitter saying, “Said hi to @jonahhill in hotel. Think he thought i was bellman. Didn’t know his name til bellman told me. A lesson to always be kind.”
According to CNN, Hill responded with a tweet that he later deleted stating: “@DonLemonCNN I said hi what do you want me to do move in with you? I was in a hurry. Didn’t realize you were a 12 year old girl. Peace.”
Lemon, who is openly gay, responded: “Hardly. You’re not my type. But I know rude. And u were.”
Keeping the momentum going, Hill ended the Twitter spat with: “@DonLemonCNN i walked out of the restroom and found you waiting for me. Shook hands, said hi and was on my way. Sorry if you found that rude.”
Lemon insisted, it was Hill’s impolite actions that peeved him, more so than being mistaken for the hotel help.
Hill, on the other hand, appears to be more interested in other matters. He is currently filming “The Wolf of Wall Street” with director Martin Scorsese.
