You better check your freezer. Perdue is recalling about 15,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets after receiving complaints that plastic fragments were found in the products.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says the Perdue recall is the result of several complaints of small pieces of plastic inside the precooked Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets.
More specifically, the products that could be contaminated have the establishment number P2617 and a best before date of Feb. 5, 2015. The products were shipped to retailers across the country.
Applegate did a market withdrawal of the nuggets on August 8.
So far, no consumers have reported injury or illness after eating the nuggets.
