Evelyn Lozada, the boisterous and volatile cast member of “Basketball Wives,” may have moved on to fiancé and baby’s daddy Carl Crawford, but her ex-fiancé Antoine Walker was surely on her mind this year. You see, Walker’s trustee sued Evelyn for fraud and she settled out of court.
Like many NBA stars before him, Walker is now bankrupt. The trustee claims he transferred funds to Evelyn over the years, in an attempt to hide Walker’s assets from creditors, and Walker was aware of the shady dealings. The bank wires add up to $649,497.56.
Evelyn, however, didn’t just sit on the money as Walker and his trustee probably planned. Homegirl used it to come up and funded her Miami shoe store Dulce with Walker’s money. This is a fact in the Evelyn Lozada saga that she hasn’t kept a secret.
We’re guessing Evelyn couldn’t claim the money was a gift because she reportedly made an agreement with Walker’s trustee to pay $40,000 in four monthly installments of $10,000, according to The Jasmine Brand. The final check was cut on Feb. 1 and the lawsuit has been dismissed.
Now Evelyn’s blissful life seems problem free … until the reality TV cameras start rolling again.
