Professor and political commentator Marc Lamont Hill found out that rappers, especially Big Boi, “be on that” Twitter even when they are onstage. Saturday night, as OutKast performed in L.A. for the BET Experience, Hill tweeted:
So Big Boi is doing his solo set now. This is where the homie @bomani_jones turns up… and I check my email.

Shortly thereafter, Big Boi responded by calling Hill a “B***ch” while onstage. The response caught Hill off-guard who tweeted:
I’m guessing this is about my tweet. I actually was just clowning my homie bc we had a debate about which Outkast member was better. @bigboi

But, truthfully, it should not have, considering that Hill hosted a HuffPost Live session entitled “Is Outkast’s Big Boi the Chris Bosh to Andre 3000′s LeBron James?” Like really, he expected Big Boi to take that favorably? During the segment when Bomani Jones, co-host of the daily sports talk show “Highly Questionable” with Dan Le Batard on ESPN2 and a music critic, stood up for Big Boi, Hill continued to challenge him and insist that the comparison to Bosh was not disrespectful since Bosh is a good player. Jones even told him, “Chris Bosh? You went too far.”
As JasFly tweeted:
Marc Lamont Hill used his platform to share his thoughts on Big Boi. In turn, Big Boi used his platform to share his thoughts on Marc.
