Ohio Bus Accident

Thirty-four people were injured after a Greyhound bus overturned on an interstate in southwestern Ohio early Saturday morning.

According to officials, the bus was heading northbound on Interstate 75 in Butler County, Ohio carrying 52 people when it overturned about 26 miles north of Cincinnati shortly after 4 a.m. Six people were reportedly taken from the scene by helicopters and the other 28 were taken to local hospitals by ambulance.

“As we arrived, the injured and walking wounded were walking up the hill, seeking attention and we set up triage areas,” said Fire Chief Paul Stump of Liberty Township.

Officials also noted that none of the injuries sustained in the accident appeared to be life threatening.

The company dispatched an additional bus to transport the uninjured passengers.

The cause of the accident has not been determined.
