Detroit has been the butt of many jokes and lots of ‘why’s?’ following its July 18 bankruptcy.
Beyonce performed at a sold-out show in the Detroit area two days after the announcement and performed a touching rendition of “A Change Is Gonna Come,” dedicated to the beleaguered city.
The performance has been edited into a music video, released to her YouTube channel last night.
Pretty much anything Sam Cooke is a tear-jerker and this particular dedication makes me especially weepy.
