Aretha Franklin has announced the cancellation of a performance scheduled for July 27th in her hometown of Detroit.
Originally scheduled to perform on June 22nd at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Franklin assured fans the postponed performance would take place later this month.
However, the Queen of Soul made the second cancellation announcement on Friday in a letter distributed by her publicist, saying she was postponing the show “one last time.”
In May, the 71-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist was also forced to call off shows in Chicago and Connecticut, citing her doctor’s recommendation to undergo treatment for an undisclosed condition.
