Everyone has heard of couponing, but if you lack the patience or time to clip and snip there are other ways to save on grocery shopping and gas during the holidays.

1. Save Your Pennies. This week I used a Coinstar machine in my local grocery store for the first time. The Coinstar allows you to put all of your loose change into the machine and for a fee of 9 cents on the dollar, it will count your money and give you a cash voucher. Wait there is more – even more grand than turning pennies into dollars – you can opt for a maintainence-free grocery store gift card instead of a cash voucher!

2. Buy in Bulk. BJ’s, Costco & Trader Joe are lifesavers during the holidays because they allow you to buy necessities in bulk at wholesale prices. They also have other rewards and discounts that offer savings on local gym memberships and car maintenance.

3. Online Coupon Codes & Givebacks. As if Black Friday and Christmas sales weren’t enough – you can also enjoy everyday savings by signing up for programs like eBates. eBates guarantees a cash back reward for buying products from your favorite retailers through their site. You can also find coupon codes for everyday shopping at sites like RetailMeNot.
