Frank Ocean made a huge splash in the music scene this year and his hard work is beginning to pay off. Big time.
At the 2013 GRAMMY Awards, the 25-year-old singer will lead the pack with six nominations in categories such as Best New Artist, Record of the Year (“Thinkin Bout You”) and the coveted Album of the Year (Channel Orange).
His reaction? “wow…” and “WTF,” were followed by a surprised emoji posted to his official Tumblr page.
Ocean will be joined by indie pop band fun., folk-rock band Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys’ drummer Dan Auerbach, as well as rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West who all scored six nods in their respective categories.
