Out of a competitive crop of new and semi-controversial biopics, Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs takes the cake.
jOBS chronicles “the defining 30 years” of Apple’s former CEO and will premiere Jan. 27 at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. The independent biopic, which will close out the festival, provides a “candid, inspiring and personal portrait of the one who saw things differently,” states the film’s description.

Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine round out the cast.
jOBS is one of two upcoming films focused on the innovative entrepreneur. Sony Pictures’ Steve Jobs is based on Jobs’ official biography that was released in 2011. The entire movie will reportedly be just three scenes portrayed in real-time.
