Sammie Bush has come a long way from the ‘bottom to the top,’ and he’s still climbing. Since his debut in 1999 at the age of 12, Sammie has been in and out of the heavy spotlight, while quietly and strategically traveling the world and dropping mixtapes for his loyal fans. On a visit to New York to celebrate the release of his latest EP titled ‘Insomnia,’ the 25-year-old sat down with UPTOWN and talked about what he feels of the state of R&B music today, how sleepless nights accidentally turned into an album and why he doesn’t mind performing “I Like It,” 13 years later.
