When it comes to halftime shows, college football has them locked. The level of creativity on the gridiron makes me want to dust off the old flute, but I’ll stick to clapping along. Every year university band directors continue to step up their game, combining themes, choreography, and the musical talents of their students to create show-stopping performances. Recently Ohio State University, which is home to one of the premier bands, did an amazing tribute to the television classics.

Here are seven college halftime performances that will have you dancing in the end zone …

One of my favorite performances so far, the Michigan marching band performs and a melody of Beyoncé tunes proving that not only can they put a ring on it, but a cymbal too.

Grambling Marching Out of the Stadium

You know you’re a force to be reckoned with when you can make walking out of the stadium look good. Grambling knows how to leave them wanting more.
