The sun will come out December 19 when the remake of Annie debuts in theaters nationwide. But this time around Daddy Warbucks has been replaced with Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx), a New York mayoral candidate who adopts orphan Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis). Although Stacks sets out to play dad in order to get voters to like him, Annie wins him over with her cuteness and upbeat outlook in the face of adversity. She also teaches Stacks how to be a kid again. Rose Byrne takes on the role of Grace, one of Stacks’ staffers. Grace is similar to the character Punjab, played by the late Geoffrey Holder in the 1982 Annie film. Cameron Diaz rounds out the starring cast as Hannigan, no Miss needed.
