It’s been a hell of a month for celebrity breakups, but Vanessa Williams is bringing the romance. The 50-year-old actress has announced her engagement.
Williams is set to marry Jim Skrip of Buffalo, New York. She confirmed the news on an upcoming episode of “The Queen Latifah Show.”
“I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen while I’ve been on this lovely trip,” she explained while promoting the tour revival of “The Trip To Bountiful” with Cicely Tyson and Blair Underwood.
“I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway. I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago … there’s been a lot of blessings on this trip.”
Back in February, Williams told Philly.com she met Skrip a year and a half ago while on vacation with her daughter in Egypt.
This will be the third marriage for Williams who has three children with her first husband and former manager, Ramon Hervy II. She has one child with her second husband and former NBA star Rick Fox.
