A Seattle woman has been arrested for allegedly breaking into her male neighbor’s home and raping him last year.
According to a police report, Chantae Gilman, 26, allegedly broke into the unidentified victim’s apartment as he slept, following a party he had attended. Gilman, a mother of four who is pregnant again, reportedly entered the man’s bedroom and managed to hold him down during the alleged rape. Gilman is 240 lbs.
The man described Gilman as “a drug user in the area,” but says they are strangers. After he managed to push Gilman off him, he kicked her out of his apartment.

He was examined for signs of rape, and a sample of Gilman’s DNA was found. It was analyzed to build a case against her.
Police state that Gilman reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder and another unnamed mental illness. She has allegedly sought treatment for both drug and mental health issues, and has an arrest record for two criminal offenses dating back to 2006 and 2008.
Upon her arrest, Gilman said she did not remember the sexual assault, nor breaking into the victim’s home. She is scheduled to appear for a hearing on September 22.
