Actors aren’t the only ones saving civilians these days.
Newark Mayor Cory Booker arrived home Thursday night to the horrific scene of his neighbor’s house engulfed in flames. Without thinking, he jumped into action to save the life of a young women trapped upstairs.

Along the way he suffered second degree burns and smoke inhalation, but gained a new outlook on life.
“Yesterday, all of my problems were really big to me. Today things feel a lot more clear,” Booker said. “And I have a lot more respect for firefighters.”
