Patti LaBelle is taking her talents back to television. The Grammy Hall of Fame winner and star of “Out All Night” is scheduled to appear in four episodes of “American Horror Story.” The hit FX anthology is preparing its fourth installment.

Each season, there is a new theme on AHS, and this time its “Freak Show.” The series will be set in 1950s Jupiter, Fl where the last American freak show took place. LaBelle will play a local that starts stirring trouble as she uncovers the past of Twisty the clown killer. She will star alongside other major talents of the series, including Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, and Gabourey Sidibe. LaBelle will not belt out any tunes in the series, however.

From 1990 to 1993 she played Adele Wayne, Dwayne Wayne’s mother, on “A Different World.” LaBelle also starred alongside Morris Chestnut, Duane Martin, and Vivica Fox in “Out All Night” from ’92 to ’93. Since then, LaBelle has made cameo appearances and acted in a few films and television shows.

Stay tuned … “American Horror Story: Freak Show” is set to premiere on October 8. Will you watch?
