Owning a record label is just not enough for Lil Wayne and he is starting his own sports management company. Of course, Lil Wayne’s sports agency’s first client is the No. 1 soccer player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo and Lil Wayne are friends and have talked about this big move for a while.
Lil Wayne’s sports agency will work alongside Cristiano’s agent Jorge Mendes under PolarisSports, which is affiliated with the CAA Agency. CAA also represents newly-signed Carmelo Anthony. Lil Wayne will be in charge of “any branding affairs dealing with Ronaldo in the United States.”
Ronaldo seemed excited and tweeted a picture of him holding up the YMCB sign with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe. In 2014, Time named Ronaldo one of The World’s Top 100 Influential People.
