Bobby Brown has called it quits on the New Edition tour, citing medical reasons. The decision follows his poor performance in Mississippi earlier this month where he left the stage after huffing and puffing through their set.
The singer’s camp told TMZ Brown had “an intrusive medical procedure” and needed to go under the care of his doctor. His recent medical issues have made it impossible for him to continue on with the tour.
But Brown didn’t make his exit without addressing the fans. He said in a statement: “I apologize to the fans of New Edition. I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give the fans what they typically expect from New Edition.”
The multi-city tour is running through August and will hit cities such as New Orleans, Washington D.C., Cincinnati, Los Angeles and more.
