Columbus Short hasn’t had the best 2014. First, he had a series of public brawls, then graphic details emerged about his tumultuous — often violent — relationship with estranged wife Tanee McCall. It is widely believed that this caused his exit from the hit ABC show “Scandal.” And then he got himself into more hot water by not showing up to family court Wednesday.
As a result, a judge ordered him to fork over $17,005 monthly in spousal support to McCall. He also has to pay $4,542 a month in child support. Short must also pay $25,000 to cover McCall’s legal bills.
Not even Short’s lawyer was present to represent him at the trial. But that’s just the half of it. TMZ reports that Short hasn’t even responded to McCall’s divorce petition.
It appears this is only the beginning of the downward spiral of Short’s personal affairs, which are already messy.
