Yes, you’ve read this right! The 15-year old daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama has landed her first job! Malia Obama has previously expressed interest in filmmaking and entertainment and she is taking her interest to the next level. She is now working on the set of new TV drama, ‘Extant’, alongside Halle Berry, as a Production Assistant.
It’s no surprise that Malia is working on this show, produced by Steven Spielberg. Spielberg has very publicly supported the Obama administration, so of course he would support the First Daughter’s filmmaking aspirations.
The Obamas spent this past weekend in Palm Springs, CA, and Malia spent last week on set at the CBS Studios in Hollywood. It is reported that she helped with “computer shop alignments”. Malia is a rising high school junior, so in the normal world it is about that time for her to find her niche and get her first job… but what’s not so normal is that her first job is on set of a Steven Spielberg production.
