For the record, Black-ish isn’t a snarky adjective here. It’s actually the name of an upcoming ABC comedy series starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson and produced byLaurence Fishburne’s production company Cinema Gypsy Productions.
*insert happy dance*
I’ve sorely missed seeing Tracee Ellis Ross’ funny arse on a regular basis. Black-ish, written and produced by Kenya Barris (The Game) looks to be a scripted comedy about Ross and Anderson raising their four kids in the ‘burbs. Together they seek balance in the notion of ‘movin’ on up’ without letting their kids lose their sense of cultural identity.
The cast of Black-ish includes Fishburne (as Grandpa Johnson), and child actors Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, Marcus Scribner, and Yara Shahidi. Watch the trailer below. Will you be tuning in this Fall?
