In the midst of the NBA playoffs, Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has locked down yet another acting gig in Universal’s upcoming comedy Trainwreck. He’ll be joined by rapper turned actor Cliff “Method Man” Smith.
Details surrounding the plot of the film have remained tightly guarded, but it has been revealed that Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) is set to direct. James and Smith will star alongside Amy Schumer, Bill Hader, Brie Larson, Colin Quinn, Vanessa Bayer, Tilda Swinton, John Cena and Mike Birbiglia.
There is no word on when Trainwreck will begin production.
The news follows the announcement that Universal was closing a deal to produce a feature film about James’ high school years at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio. James will co-produce with his manager Maverick Carter.
