Jourdan Dunn is the new face of Maybelline New York. This news comes on the heels of Lupita Nyong’o being announced as the face of Lancome, making this an auspicious time for black women in beauty.
“Jourdan’s look, style and positive energy are perfect for the Maybelline New York brand,” said Jerome Bruhat, global brand president of Maybelline New York. “She truly reflects Maybelline’s vision of global beauty.”
The 23-year old model is no stranger to big campaigns.

Aside from being a mainstay on catwalks, she is the face of YSL’s Touche Éclat concealer, Burberry Beauty, CK One’s Red fragrance and DKNY.”It is an honor to be a spokesperson for such an iconic brand. I am proud to say that I am a Maybelline girl and hopefully I can make people feel the same way I did when I saw the advertisements growing up,” Jourdan said in a statement. “The brand imagery is always beautiful and positive. To now be a part of that is a dream come true!”
Her first role as a Maybelline spokeswoman will be to promote their Go Extreme mascara. The print and TV ads should roll out by the end of the month.
