Mohammad Arif, a convicted cannibal, was arrested Monday for a second time in Pakistan after authorities discovered a young boy’s head in his home.
Arif, 35, and brother Mohammad Farman, 30, were released from jail last year after serving a two-year sentence for cannibalism. According to police, the cannibal brothers dug up more than 100 corpses from the local cemetery and ate them. They’re from the small town of Darya Khan in central Pakistan.
“Residents informed police after a stench emanated from the house of the two brothers,” District Police Chief Ameer Abdullah told Reuters. “We raided the house on Monday morning and found the head of a young boy.”
The identity of the boy is unknown, but Ameer Abdullah Khan, Superintendent of Police in Darya Khan, reported the child was 2- or 3-years-old. Arif admitted to cooking the boy’s body parts in a meat curry.
Once married with children, both brothers were abandoned by their wives before their 2011 arrests.
Arif, a notorious Pakistani cannibal, was home when the raid occurred and taken into custody. A manhunt for his brother Farman is underway.
