In an ironic twist, a Spartanburg, South Carolina man was jailed after assaulting his girlfriend with his anger management book.
Tyler Ford, 23, was arrested on Monday and charged with criminal domestic violence after fighting with girlfriend Sheelah Thompson, 22, in her apartment. The argument allegedly started when Ford asked Thompson why she seemed to intentionally anger him, being fully aware of his quick temper. After she responded with a mere shoulder shrug, Ford hit Thompson with his anger management book on her foot, then on her cheek.

The girlfriend told authorities Ford had threatened to kill her by strangling, and he threw her phone in the oven so she couldn’t call 911. According to reports, Ford “popped” their infant daughter for crying too much during the tussle.
Thompson defended herself with a box cutter. Police report a deep cut on one of Ford’s arms upon arrest.
The couple has both been charged with criminal domestic violence.
