A Georgia mother of eight gives “bad mom” a new definition. The mother was arrested after two of her children were found unsupervised in their insect-infested and feces-covered home.
The eldest child, a 14 year old, told Richmond County Sheriff deputies that he hadn’t seen his mother Bethany Marie Schubert for days, after a call led authorities to the Augusta home March 13, according to the New York Daily News.
According to the incident report, the home wasn’t even fit for animals. “There were piles of trash, dirt and hair in the living room and kitchen. There was dog feces and urine on the bedroom floor,” reads the incident report. “The bathroom and kitchen were filthy. The only food in the residence were three slices of thinly sliced ham, mayonnaise and sugar.”
Deputies eventually released custody of seven of Bethany Schubert’s eight children to her sister, who has three kids of her own.
