Johnny Depp & His Bug Collection
Last on our list is the modern-day Captain Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp, who has his own bug collection, even though he reportedly made his fear of insects very apparent when filming Pirates of the Caribbean. Scientists even named an ancient insect named after him, the Kooteninchela deppi, a 505-million-year-old distant ancestor of lobsters and scorpions. The scientists who named the creature were immediately reminded of Depp’s character Edward in Edward Scissorhands.
