Are you happy? If not, what are YOU going to do about it?
All of us, no matter how we define it for ourselves, want to be happy. Although many of us don’t take the time to acknowledge when we are happy, we do however usually know when we are not. There’s a heaviness that we feel. Our laugh doesn’t come as easily. We can’t find our smile.
Another thing that that we know about ourselves, whether we’re willing to admit it or not, is that we also know why we are unhappy. We may try to convince ourselves that we don’t, but I promise you, if an angel descended upon you and said, “My dear one, come to me, lay down your burden, tell me why are you so unhappy?” – my bet is that the flood gates would open. If you’re not convinced try it. Close your eyes for a minute and imagine yourself resting in the arms of the Divine. Feel the warmth, the love, the safety, and the non-judgment. Then ask yourself, ask your inner child – why you are unhappy?
My question to you, now that you have the answer, is what are YOU going to do about it? Are you going to creatively come up with ten excuses and clever justifications for why you can’t do anything about it – how it’s someone else’s fault, your parent’s fault, out of your control, society, the government? Or, are you going to use your glorious, creative spirit to come up with ten action steps you can take on your path to happiness? Happiness is a choice, and you have a choice.
Remember you are amazing!!! Take responsibility for your happiness. Stop blaming and finding excuses. Change your mind, change your perception and take action.
