PEOPLE reports her body was flown from Los Angeles on Tyler Perry’s private jet to the Teterboro, N.J. airport where she was transported to a gold hearse. Fans lined the streets as the fallen icon was driven to the funeral home in her hometown.
The owner of Whigham Funeral Home told the Associated Press that the funeral will be held at noon at the New Hope Baptist Church. The service will be invitation only and there will be no wake or public memorial at Newark’s Prudential Center, as previously discussed. The family has requested a more personal funeral to say their final goodbyes.

Daughter Bobbi Kristina has also arrived in New Jersey, along with Houston’s bodyguard and brother-in-law Ray Watson.
