Russian socialite Miroslava Duma often finds herself front row at many an exclusive fashion show. But she is now finding herself amid a firestorm of controversy, after publishing highly-offensive photos on her website, Buro 24/7.

Published yesterday, Jan. 20, in accompaniment to an  interview with Garage editor-in-chief Dasha Zhukova, the photo spread feature Zhukova sitting in a chair sculpted in the likeness of a Black woman lying on her back, legs up in a provocative pose. The Black-woman-as-chair sculpture has legs that serve as a backrest for Zhukova, who strikes a serious pose.

The chair was controversial after 1960s pop artist Allen Jones created it.  However, Duma scandalously selected the chair for the main photo of the interview, which was written completely in Russian. The photo was shared to Buro 24/7′s Facebook page, as well as on Duma’s personal Instagram, but has since been removed.

Sad that on Martin Luther King Day, which celebrates an international hero and equality activist, such foolishness could commence! Duma nor her reps have issued an apology.
