If you haven’t already noticed, Lupita Nyong’o is the woman to beat this awards season and she’s showing no signs of slowing up on her winning streak.
At Saturday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, the 12 Years A Slave actress took home the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. As Nyong’o accepted her first-ever SAG Award, she recognized her family for their unwavering support.

“I want to thank my family who have kept it real,” she told the audience. “My dad, he was the first person I called when I got this role. I said, ‘Daddy, do you know Brad Pitt? I’m going to be in a movie with him.’”
Her father replied, “I don’t know him personally, but I’m glad you got a job.”
