Rev Run, one-third of legendary rap trio Run DMC, returns to cable television in a home renovation reality series, ”Rev Run Renovations.”
The Simmons family’s last reality series, “Run’s House,” was a viewer favorite, as Run’s concluding bath tub wisdom became his signature scene. The series aired on MTV for four years, ending in 2009. But this time around patriarch Joseph Simmons, better known an Rev Run, takes his family back to their 9,000 square foot New Jersey home with a team of builders as cameras film the home renovations.
Premiering Jan. 6 on the DIY Network, wife Justine Simmons and Rev argue about budget details, and kids Diggy, Russy, and Miley provide varying input on the design of their rooms. From fairy tale castle, to zen-like, to contemporary room themes, the show catches every moment of the family’s new home makeover.
“Rev Run Renovations” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on the DIY Network. Will you watch?
