Whoopi Goldberg has sold a half-hour, interracial comedy to ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 58-year-old star will work alongside Ben Silverman to executive produce Iman & Andy, which will center on two 20-something interracial co-workers who carry on an office romance in secret. When they’re exposed by the new editor-in-chief at their online magazine, they’re forced to team up on a new relationship advice blog.
“I’m so excited we are doing this together. I think this is going to be fun and interesting television,” Goldberg said.
Angela Ruhinda will pen the script.
Goldberg can be seen next in the Lifetime film adaptation of Terry McMillan‘s A Day Late and a Dollar Short.
