After weeks of excitement and anticipation surrounding the release of JAY Z‘s “Picasso Baby” video, the 43-year-old rapper handed the way cool visual over to HBO for its official premiere.
On Friday (Aug. 2), the network debuted Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film which was shot last month by director Mark Romanek (“99 Problems”) at New York City‘s Pace Gallery. Presumably a part of his “new rules” campaign, JAY Z performed the song off his latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail for six straight hours in front of a steady stream of fans, writers, artists and famous supporters.
The 10-minute clip features appearances from Taraji P. Henson, Marina Abramovic, Fab 5 Freddy, Rosie Perez, Michael K. Williams, Judd Apatow and others who made their way through the unique exhibit. Check out the scene below!
