The legal battle continues between Kobe Bryant and his mother over possession of memorabilia from high school and his early professional basketball career, reports The Associated Press.
According to a court filing on Wednesday, the 34-year-old NBA star never gave Pamela Bryant the permission to sell hundreds of item that include jerseys, practice gear, a trophy, a signed basketball and more.
Kobe says his mother acknowledged to him that she did not have permission to sell the memorabilia.
Pamela alleges Kobe told her the items were hers and had already arranged to sell them through Goldin Auctions. She received a $450,000 advance.
Last week, Kobe wrote to the auction house to cease the June auction, but Goldin is suing for its right to sell the item.
