The actress, mother, wife, activist, and philanthropist is among the most notable and noble black women doing her thing. Whether she’s promoting a cause dear to her heart or supporting her husband and children on the red carpet, she is always spotted in a showstopping look.
In spite of what the runway dictates, style comes in all sizes and heights. If you’re a petite woman looking for a bit of style inspiration, here are a few ideas for pulling seamless looks together like this week’s Star Style pick, Jada!
Tailored garments, like this pre-fall 2013 Narciso Rodriguez leather sheath, perfectly complement petite frames. Jada’s dress is not only on-trend this season but will also make a style splash for years.
Try a little mood-mixing with your look. Combining a sweet pair of mary jane shoes with an edgy turquoise snake-print trench, makes for one hot, uptown look.
A head-to-toe monochromatic outfit doesn’t have to be boring. Wake up the matchy-matchy, with a complementary colored coat and accessories.
An open neckline, like a V-neck, on dresses, sweaters, and blouses elongates the neck of a petite woman and exposes the collarbone, which is very sexy.
