In an almost laughable email sent out by CBS Standard And Practice, the network has issued a “Wardrobe Advisory” for all artists in attendance at Sunday’s big show. Essentially, executives have asked this year’s attendees to keep it classy…
“Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare flesh under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic.”
The email goes on to warn artists of sheer see-through clothing to expose “female breast nipples” or the “genital region.” As for brand name products and obscenities, that’s a no-no as well.
Do we expect all of our beloved and “well-behaved” musicians to abide by the list of guidelines? No. But nice try, CBS.
