Beyonce is currently gearing up for her Super Bowl halftime show in 2013, and her precious Beyhive fans are at their wits end filled with suspense, but it looks like they’re getting offered more than a good show.

The body of 10-year-old Jade Morris has been found and identified. Las Vegas police suspect 50-year-old casino worker Brenda Stokes Wilson is responsible for the young girl’s death. According to authorities, the incident occurred before Wilson went to a Las Vegas resort and allegedly slashed the face of a co-worker with razor blades.

USA Today reports:

The search for Jade Morris ended Friday afternoon when officials confirmed that it was her body that was found a day earlier in an undeveloped housing tract… On Thursday, Las Vegas police responding to a 911 call found a girl’s body in unkempt brush near palm trees in a small traffic circle about 10 miles from the downtown Las Vegas outlet mall where Stokes was to have taken the girl shopping.

The corner’s office confirmed that Jade died of multiple stab wounds. While, the Las Vegas police homicide Captain Chris Jones called the killing “unfathomable.”

Jade was last seen on December 21st with Brenda Stokes Wilson–a family friend. The two were expected to go Christmas shopping. But two hours later, Wilson returned the car she had borrowed without Jade.

Later that night, police caught up with Wilson–wrestling her to the ground with razors in each hand. They were called after Wilson allegedly slashed the face of a female co-worker at the Bellagio casino. After further investigation, police later found blood on the driver’s door and steering wheel of the 2007 Saab sedan driven by Wilson earlier.

According to USA Today, “A judge raised her bail to $600,000 from $60,000 Friday morning after she was identified as the prime suspect in the child’s killing.”

“It’s no secret the defendant is the suspect in the murder of 10-year-old Jade Morris,” prosecutor Robert Daskas told Senior Clark County District Court Judge Joseph Bonaventure at Wilson’s court hearing.

Wilson has been in jail since December 21st on charges of felony battery with a weapon, burglary and mayhem charges that could earn her decades in prison. Additional murder and kidnapping charges could get her life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

Philip Morris, Jade’s father, was removed from court on Wednesday after a grief-stricken outburst. Wilson and Morris were a couple for several years, and Jade is said to have had a longstanding trusting relationship with Wilson before the murder took place.

Authorities suspect Wilson believed the face-slashing victim was romantically involved with Philip Morris.  However, they have not declared a definitive motive for Jade’s murder.

Robin Roberts will not return to ABC’s “Good Morning America” until the spring of 2013. She is likely to make her much anticipated return sometime in May or June.

GMA executives are rumored as hoping Roberts will return as early as February to help boost their ratings hike over the flailing TODAY show, but know it is highly unlikely. According to TMZ, sources linked to Roberts and the show say her “medical issues make an earlier return way too risky, because her immune system is extremely weak.”

Still, Roberts’ doctors are pleased and her health is progressing as expected, according to TMZ‘s sources. But she will not be ready to reclaim her post on the top-rated morning show for another 5 to 6 months. Although, Roberts would love to get back to work sooner, she realizes sticking to the schedule is necessary for a strong recovery.

No matter the outcome, well wishes continue to pour in for the widely-loved anchor in the form of cards and emails.

Despite his own ongoing personal drama, Katt Williams took the time to sound-off on Quentin Tarantino’s latest controversial flick, “Django Unchained.”

Joining celebs like Spike Lee, Williams gave TMZ a piece of his mind on what many say is an excessive use of the N-word in the film, and makes a mockery of slavery. Only Williams wasn’t as diplomatic as the rest. Instead, he threatened Tarantino:

“Quentin Tarantino thinks he can say the N-word. But I checked with all of Ni**adom and nobody knows where he got his pass from. I hope he didn’t get it from Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Foxx cause they aren’t going to help you when I see you.”

And on comparing “Django Unchained” to Steven Spielberg’s 1997 blockbuster “Amistad”:

“Quentin Tarantino is no Steven Spielberg. Steven Spielberg doesn’t wanna be black, Quentin Tarantino thinks he is. So when he meets a real ni**a, we’ll see if he is or not.”

Five years ago, I stopped making those empty promises to myself, otherwise known as New Year’s resolutions. After not being disciplined enough to do whatever I vowed I’d do each year, including (but not limited to) less shopping and restaurants, and quitting my obsession with potato chips and chocolate. None of those things ever lasted more than 30 days.

I replaced resolutions with a practice I call “Name the Year.” Yes, it sounds like a game show question, but it’s effective. Before the end of each year, I decide what tone I want the next 365 days to take and give it a name. I consciously keep the name in mind as the year progresses.

I’ve had some good years: 2010 was the year of prosperity—I met all of my financial goals. Last year was the year of exploration—I made an effort to see more of the world, and I did.

Giving my new year a name has taught me to look for the best in people, experiences, and myself. I rarely get down in the dumps because I know if I come up short or something bad happens then I’ve got to continue to work harder and move forward with a purpose.

Although I haven’t come up with a name for 2013 yet, I’m visualizing an extraordinary year. What will you name your year? Whatever you decide, look for the best. And even when you face challenges, know that it can still be done.

R&B songstress Fantasia Barrino is upset that folks are peeved at her for posting an Instagram on Sunday that appears to condemn same-sex marriage reports E! Online.

The former “American Idol” season three winner let ‘er rip by seemingly not condoning gay marriage but also criticizing an out-of-control world that she feels is judging her unfairly stating:

Prosecutors have brought a murder charge against Brenda Stokes Wilson, 50, who is accused of stabbing a young girl to death in an undeveloped Las Vegas housing tract and continuing on to allegedly slash the face of a co-worker at a Las Vegas Strip resort.

Tony Liker, Wilson’s lawyer, told a judge Wednesday that his client will plead not guilty to all six charges against her in the Dec. 21 death of 10-year-old Jade Morris and the attack on 44-year-old Joyce Rhone at the Bellagio.

According to previous reports, Wilson and Morris were expected to go Christmas shopping together at a Las Vegas-area outlet mall, but Wilson returned hours later without the young girl. The suspect was later apprehended at the Bellagio casino for attacking Rhone while she dealt at a blackjack table.

Prosecutor Robert Daskas says DNA tests found Morris’ blood on Wilson’s clothing and in the car she borrowed to take the girl shopping that day.

Wilson was initially charged with felony battery with a weapon, burglary and mayhem charges, but her most recent charges could result to life in prison without parole or the death penalty.

A judge set an evidence hearing for March 28 and ordered Wilson to be held without bail.

Newlyweds Amar’e Stoudemire and wife Alexis are bringing even more great news into the new year– they’re expecting their fourth child.

The couple, who tied the knot on 12-12-12, will welcome a new addition to their rapidly growing family in the spring.

“We’re blessed that we were able to extend our family,” the New York Knicks forward told PEOPLE. “We’re both huge on having a nice size family. It was something we’ve been talking about for a while. It happened naturally and at the right time so it all worked out.”

And while Alexis has admitted to some morning sickness, she says she can’t complain and the pregnancy is perfect timing.

“[Everyone is] very, very excited,” she added. “They just keep guessing if it’s a boy or a girl.”

Whatever the gender, there will be plenty of hands to help with the new baby. Amar’e and Alexis already have three children together– Ar’e (7), Amar’e Jr. (6) and Assata (4).

Even the few times that a dad did get some good words spoken about him, it was to a stepdad because the “biological didn’t bother.”

And if it wasn’t artists angry at their dads for leaving, it was artists claiming that every other woman they knew were setting traps to get pregnant or ones complaining about “baby mama drama.” All in all, fatherhood didn’t look as good as the partying and opulence that so many rap songs promoted.

There hasn’t really been life after TLC for Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins because despite several serious health problems and one member dying, TLC is still going strong.

With the 20th Anniversary of TLC upon us, though, T-Boz is trying to do two things at once as she commemorates her group and plots a few solo endeavors. Add to that the fact that she just moved all the way across the country, leaving Atlanta for the sunny beaches and top-notch studios of Los Angeles!  How’s she going to balance it all while adjusting to life on the West Coast? “Totally T-Boz” picks up just as Tionne tries to figure that out.

Relatives of nine victims involved in last summer’s deadly shooting at an Aurora, Colo. movie theater have come together to express their anger with Cinemark USA Inc., owner of the establishment, who invited them to a special reception on the eve of its reopening.

The invitation, sent just days after Christmas, has been labeled as “disgusting” and “wholly offensive” to the memory of their loved ones.

“During the holiday we didn’t think anyone or anything could make our grief worse but you, Cinemark, have managed to do just that by sending us an invitation two days after Christmas inviting us to attend the re-opening of your theater in Aurora where our loved ones were massacred,” they wrote. “Thanks for making what is a very difficult holiday season that much more difficult. Timing is everything and yours is awful.”

On July 20, 12 people were killed and 58 were injured at the hands of 25-year-old James Eagan Holmes who gunned down an audience attending a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises. The reopening of Aurora Century 16 movie theater is scheduled for Jan. 18.

An e-mail sent to the families said Cinemark would hold a ”special evening of remembrance” followed by a film screening for which they had to reserve their own tickets. In the families’ response, they pointed out the company’s insensitive “quest for profits.”

“You (Cinemark) refused our repeated invitations to speak parent to parent with no lawyers involved. Instead, we get invited to attend a ‘special evening of remembrance’ at the very theater where our loved ones lay dead on the floor for over 15 hours,” the letter continued. “We would give anything to wipe the carnage of that night out of our minds’ eye. Thank you for reminding us how your quest for profits has blinded your leadership and made you so callous as to be oblivious to our mental anguish.”

At this time, Cinemark has made no comment about the invitation.

Elzina Brown, 59, of the Bronx became New York City’s first murder victim of 2013 after taking a bullet for her daughter embroiled in a domestic dispute.

According to the NY Daily News, the mother of four was gunned down in her home around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday by Raymond Mayrant, the boyfriend of Brown’s daughter Diamond Dunn. The couple reportedly had been arguing over their 4-year-old daughter when Mayrant pulled out a gun and aimed it at Dunn. Brown stepped between the pair and was shot in the chest.

Brown, an NYPD school crossing guard home on her lunch break, died at the scene.

Mayrant also shot Dunn in the face before fleeing from the apartment. She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Friends of Dunn say she’s in pretty bad shape, stating her face is “basically gone” and have long since questioned why she was with Mayrant who “abused her in every possible way.”

Relatives believe Mayrant might have fled to his home in Norfolk, Va. He was in New York for the holidays to see his daughter. The suspect’s prior arrests include assault, grand larceny possession of stolen property and resisting arrest, reports the NY Post.

“These were good people,” said Andre Williams, an old friend of Brown. “That’s why this hurts so much.”

Less than a week after the Sandy Hook shootings, Greer Phillips, a principal in East Harlem’s P.S. 79, the Horan School, decided to conduct an unscheduled, unannounced drill.

At 10 am on December 18, the Tuesday after the shooting, a woman’s voice came over the loudspeaker and announced that there was a “shooter” or “intruder” in the building and instructed the teachers to “get out, get out, lockdown.”

The school serves 300 students with special needs like autism, severe emotional disabilities, cerebral palsy and other disorders.

One teacher told the New York Times, “We really thought we were not going home that night. It was probably the worst feeling I ever had in my life.”

Another teacher, Santos Sabio, explained that after five minutes, she realized it was a drill, saying “It was a surprise, but it shouldn’t be a surprise.”

When police officers arrived on the scene, school officials told them it was just a drill.

On Friday, the 39-year-old crooner released the album’s cover art and tracklisting of a mere seven songs– two less than the series’ debut. But according to That Grape Juice, this is just a “partial tracklisting” to the project slated for 2013.
