France Outlaws Work Emails After 6 P.M.

Paris Eiffel Tower

Work emails are one of life’s small tortures that can turn into huge headaches. You leave the office thinking you can finally go home, throw off your work clothes and unwind on the couch to watch some junk TV. You walk through the door, your shoulders already beginning to loosen as you think about that glass of wine that you need after that stressful day at work. Then your phone buzzes and you see that your boss needs you to write up a report not now, but right now. Sigh.

Well apparently, France said f– all that noise. The country’s workers unions just issued a mandate that forbids employees from attending to “work-related material on their computers or smartphones” after they clock out for the day, according to The Guardian. Sacre bleu! It’s time for me to move to Paris!

Under the deal, which affects a million employees in the technology and consultancy sectors (including the French arms of Google, Facebook, Deloitte and PwC), employees will also have to resist the temptation to look at work-related material on their computers or smartphones –or any other kind of malevolent intrusion into the time they have been nationally mandated to spend on whatever the French call la dolce vita.

The more I hear about the policies over there, the more I’m ready to book a one-way ticket. This is the same place that has 16-weeks of fully paid maternity leave, and a mandatory 31 days of paid vacation. Um, where do I sign up?!

In all seriousness though, I think it makes sense to have well-rested and happier employees. I know my work is much better when I’m in a good mood. And although people will argue that America wouldn’t be the great country we are unless people worked their asses off, I think it is a novel idea to put a stop gap on work related items when people go home. Kids deserve to hang out with their parents and have their full attention rather than have a glaring laptop looming over their heads. Well done, France!

Peter Thomas to NeNe Leakes: Who You Calling A Bitch?

Peter Thomas' Surprise Bday

My wife, Cynthia Bailey, and I have spent four seasons on the wildly popular and successful Real Housewives of Atlanta reality television show where millions of viewers have witnessed the good, the bad and the some times downright craziness that occurs in our day-to-day lives and that of our fellow cast members. And while fans of Bravo’s top rated show really only get to see a very small snippet of what goes on in our marriage and relationships with the other cast members, for the most part it represents the reality of our lives.

On the show, I stay very true to who I am as a man, a husband, an entrepreneur and a friend. Though some fans think I meddle in “women’s business”, I am a part of this show just like Gregg Leakes, Apollo Nida, Todd Tucker and for one season so was Kordell Stewart. Without our support and encouragement, our wives’ reality could not be portrayed. So their business on RHOA tends to be our business as well. Just thought I’d clear that up.

I am naturally outspoken and I speak my mind even sometimes to the chagrin of my wife. Some viewers, and even some cast members, take offense to that part of me, but it’s who I am. Love me or hate me, I will not bite my tongue, especially when it comes to ensuring my point of view or opinion is made. How that encourages someone who is equally outspoken and opinionated to suggest I am “acting like a bitch” has me completely confused and highly offended.

uptown nene peter cynthia peter birthday oct 2013

Many people have sent me messages through my social media channels asking me how I feel about the unfortunate confrontation between Nene, Gregg and myself. In fact, in all of my time on the show, I have never received so many inquiries about a single incident. So, I decided to address it once and for all.

In March, our viewers and fans witnessed Nene Leakes, someone I’ve supported, cheered for and considered a friend for a few years now, completely disrespect me on national television by recklessly saying I was “acting like a bitch.” Why? Simply because I thought my friend could have handled herself more professionally and with much more class at a specific charity event. Well guess what? I still think my friend was out of line in the way she acted. It was probably the most uncomfortable situation I’ve found myself in on the show thus far. Even my friend’s Pillow Talk party fiasco wasn’t as bad to me as the charity event (or when my sister- and mother-in-law hid Cynthia’s and my marriage license, but I digress) because I have always respected Nene for her hustle and her ability to overcome any obstacle. As her friends, Cynthia and I have witnessed Nene become a household name and supported her on her path to mainstream success. We were #TeamLeakes through Nene’s unfortunate divorce and her subsequent re-marriage to the love of her life. She’s even been there to support Cynthia and I through our ups and downs.

uptown peter thomas nene leakes mexico

So imagine my surprise, my anger and my disappointment when my friend verbally attacked me in Mexico while Gregg and I were discussing what happened at the charity event. First of all, I never confronted Nene. I was talking to Cynthia and explaining to my wife that Nene’s behavior that night made me (and many others in attendance) uncomfortable and why I wanted to leave, when Nene approached me. She got in my face, not the other way around. So Gregg was completely wrong in his assessment of what actually happened. As a friend, I felt it necessary to explain to her my position and why I think she was wrong. Was she upset because I violated the “Nene Leakes Friends Agreement” and went rogue by questioning her actions and calling her out on her antics? Challenging Mrs. Leakes is apparently something you don’t do. I guess it’s obvious that I didn’t get that memo.

peter thomas meme rhoaHer insults continued in her Housewives’ confessionals and spurred the creation of several memes and caricatures of me in drag, and in the cast lineup alongside the ladies holding my own peach  (the signature logo for the Atlanta housewives franchise). Most were hilarious, and pretty damn creative I might add. Yet, these images were born from my friend’s harsh insult and attempt at emasculating me.

Nene’s used to being loud, wild and obnoxious. That’s what’s made her famous I assume. But it’s also what’s making her unlikeable to so many. She’s gone from dancing on the pole in hood strip clubs to Dancing With The Stars on television screens worldwide, and that’s simply phenomenal. I am proud of the trajectory she is on. However, I am very disappointed in my friend’s inability to accept responsibility for her actions. And let me be clear, Nene won’t be great until she can admit when she is wrong.

Friends should be able to provide constructive criticism of one another, especially when it is coming from a very good place. Attacking each other only leads to hard feelings and hard falls.

We can talk about baseball. Talk about politics. Sure, this country has a black president, but when you look at a black president, President Obama is left with his foot stuck in the mud from all of the Republicans with the way he’s treated. We have moved in the right direction, and there have been improvements, but we still have a long ways to go in the country. The bigger difference is that back then they had hoods. Now they have neckties and starched shirts.

- Hank Aaron told USA Today while discussing his road to beating Babe Ruth’s batting record. The baseball legend experienced the height of his career during the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, and says he still has much of the racist and threatening hate mail he received decades ago.

Karyn White For Brown Girls

Karyn Washington, founder of influential self-esteem projects for women of color, including For Brown Girls and the Dark Skin, Red Lips Project has died at 22. The young woman reportedly took her own life.

Karyn launched the Dark Skin, Red Lips Project to display the beauty in women with darker complexions wearing red lipstick, after reading Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky’s comments during an interview that sun-kissed women of color should stay away from shades reserved for fair-skinned women. The rapper’s notion was quickly shattered through the images posted to social media using #DarkSkinRedLipProject.

The young advocate carried the torch For Brown Girls to appreciate their beauty from inside and out, while accenting their outer beauty with makeup. Her website is a cause of celebration of “the beauty of dark skin while combating colorism and promoting self love,” she wrote in the website’s mission statement.

Washington’s friend and fellow blogger Aliyah posted a stirring dedication to her friend on April 9. In another post, a friend shared that like many everywhere, Karyn was in the trenches of working through feelings of depression brought on by her mother’s passing.

I identify with Washington’s encouragement for those struggling with acceptance in having a darker complexion to love and embrace the skin they are in. In Karyn’s unexpected transition, there’s a lesson to be learned. We all, regardless of the shade of our skin, are seeking a loving and supportive system in a community still struggling to accept a variety of skin-tones. Colorism is promoted by media outlets force feeding images of one-dimensional beauty for men and women. People everywhere can continue fostering and laying the bricks For Brown Girls struggling to find self-love and acceptance in their skin by uplifting and supporting one another through projects such as Washington’s.

Make ‘em say UHHH! NA NA NA NA!

According to Romeo, at this weekend’s Coachella there’s a No Limit reunion on deck – but the son of Master P. didn’t divulge any additional information about the news.

No Limit Records was the rap music staple 15 years ago. With a heavy roster including Mystikal, Silkk The Shocker, Mia X and C-Murder amongst others, No Limit dominated the music scene. From 1997-2000, the label released 51 albums. The label’s proprietor Master P, real name Percy Robert Miller, was so successful he never had to tour, something today’s artists depend heavily on.

He made a total of $350 million dollars in his musical career, expanding to television shows, movies, shoes and even an effort to play in the NBA. And it all started off his grandfather’s $10,000 insurance settlement.

As successful and iconic as the No Limit soldiers are, much of their music is out of print. Only a handful of titles are available on iTunes and Amazon.

Guilty Dad Who Tossed Daughter Off Bridge Causes Outrage With Courtroom Antics

Tierra Morgan Glover, 2, was wearing a “Daddy’s Little Girl” chain the day her father, Arthur Morgan III threw her over a bridge, strapped in her car seat.

Morgan, 29, was found guilty of murder, with no chance of parole earlier this week for pre-meditating the demise of his toddler.  After he learned his fate, he smiled and smirked while being handcuffed, and visibly winked at prosecutors upon exiting the court room.

The unapologetic father fled to San Diego in November 2011 after he strapped Tierra to her pink car seat, added a five pound car jack to weigh it down, and tossed her over a New Jersey bridge. According to his confession, he heard her cries as he drove away to a liquor store. He was caught on the store’s surveillance tape with friend, unbothered, purchasing a half pint of rum. He was caught eight days later by authorities in Southern California.

His jealous rage at ex-girlfriend Imani Benton sparked his unthinkable decision. Benton’s refusal to take him back, his belief she had a new boyfriend and her denying him visitation because he was homeless and unemployed all tied into his motive for revenge.

The toddlers lifeless body was found partially submerged in a stream, with her black and purple shoe peeking from the water. The medical examiner concluded the helpless child remained alive for at least minutes after being thrown over, breathing in water until her lungs filled.

Katherine Jackson Unfit, Debbie Rowe Files For Legal Custody of MJs Kids

Michael Jackson Custody Battle
Debbie Rowe will reportedly file for custody of Michael Jackson‘s three kids in an attempt to provide them the best possible home life.

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine Jackson, has been the guardian of the children. Rowe believes that the 83-year-old may be unfit to care for the children, citing her older age. A judge appointed TJ Jackson co-guardianship alongside Katherine to assist in caring for the children. Yet, he is often missing from the children’s lives because of touring and music commitments.

Rowe is apparently concerned about the influence the children’s current environment and their home life. She told friends that the presence of the children’s uncles has resulted in them behaving badly. Sixteen year old Paris Jackson attempted to take her own life last year after writing a series of cryptic messages on social media. While Paris has managed to seek assistance in working through her personal issues, Rowe says she is worried about her recovery.

Guardianship of the children has been a major cause of concern for the Jackson family even before the musician’s 2009 death.

Rowe is the biological mother of Prince and Paris Jackson but relinquished all rights in legal documents between her and the late entertainer for a reported $6 million settlement. She sued to regain custody of the children a decade ago due to Jackson cutting financial support. That case was settled out of court.

Rowe says she will not sue the estate for any money to assist with the raising of the children. Instead she is more concerned about their well being.

Who Legally Owns The NaeNae?

uptown dwight howard naenae

By Jaia A. Thomas

My first encounter with the NaeNae was on Instagram. A high school classmate posted an Instagram video of her wobbling through the house waving her hands through the air and tagged it #thenaenae. I thought, “Who, what and where is a NaeNae?”

As per usual, I was late to the latest teen trend. As We Are Toonz so aptly states in their “Drop That NaeNae” song “NaeNae that’s the new thing poppin.”

The NaeNae is the brainchild of We Are Toonz, a teen quintet (Calvin Lamar Glass Jr, Jalen Ware, Kavin Bing-Gardner, Christopher Major, and Tavin Bing-Gardner) hailing from Georgia and Florida. The dance is loosely based on Martin Lawrence’s Sheneneh Jenkins character from the 90’s sitcom Martin. Group member Calvin Lamar Glass Jr – aka Callamar – explains, “It’s really just based on a ratchet girl in the club dancing kind of funny and the best girl to describe it is Sheneneh from Martin.” Since its debut, The NaeNae music video has garnered over 6 million views on YouTube and everyone from Dwight Howard to John Wall has shared their renditions of the dance. But, who legally owns the NaeNae? And, are dance routines protectable under the law?
uptown we are toonz naenae yahhh
Under the 1976 Copyright Act, “choreographic works” are eligible for copyright protection. Dance pieces are protectable by copyright provided that they are a). original works of authorship and b). fixed in any tangible medium of expression. Dance pieces can be fixed in a tangible medium of expression through film, videotape or any other notational system. While “choreographic works” is not clearly defined in the Copyright Act, many courts have precluded “social dance steps and simple routines” from copyright protection. Would the NaeNae qualify as a social dance step and simple routine disqualifying it from copyright protection?

Whether the NaeNae consists of social dance steps and simple routines is debatable. But, as of today, the NaeNae dance is not registered with the US Copyright Office. However, there is a NaeNae Bop and NaeNae Bop, et al registered under Keirra White. She is listed as the director, editor and producer for a NaeNae Bop motion picture as well as the author of NaeNae lyrics and sound recordings. It is unclear if Ms. White is of any relation or affiliation to the group but there are no registrations on record with the Copyright Office for the “NaeNae” dance itself. Note, however, that copyright exists the moment a work is created. Registration only provides additional layers of protection and allows a plaintiff to bring a copyright infringement lawsuit. So, although the dance has yet to be registered, the group and especially the dance’s creator, group member Tavin Bing-Gardner (aka Levi – pictured, far right), legally owns the rights to the dance.

As We Are Toonz prepares for their upcoming tour, copyright law may be the furthest thing from their mind. But, for other artists with a knack for choreography, it is important to know that dance routes are protectable under US Copyright Law. Countless individuals, artists and professional organizations have registered dance routines with the US Copyright Office and sued for infringement.

Woman Gets Outbid on Dream Home, Tries to Have New Owner Raped

Uptown_Carmel Valley Homes

A San Diego woman is now facing felony charges for pulling ridiculous “pranks” on the woman who outbid her for her dream home, including inciting rape, listing the home as for sale, and advertising high school parties at the home.

According to a felony complaint, Kathy Rowe was livid after the home she desperately wanted was sold to another family, so she decided to take her rage out on the unsuspecting family that stole her dreams.

Rowe listed the house for sale. She also posted advertisements for a high school new year’s eve party and a free fireworks giveaway, and ordered over $1,000 worth of unsolicited magazine subscriptions. The complaint also claimed that Rowe sent out a series of Valentine’s Day cards to their neighbors and signed them as if she were the home owner’s husband.

But then the pranks got much worse. Dangerously so.

She put up an online ad under the new owner’s name and invited men to break into the home and rape her at the provided address. Part of the ad stated:

“I also love to be surprised and have a man just show up at the door and force his way in the door and on me, totally taking me while I say no,” she told one of the men. “Just stop by anytime Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. I like the element of surprise.”

Two men responded to the ad, and one actually showed up at the home.

This woman is a raving lunatic and she needs to be put in jail. The advertisements for parties and giveaways were outlandish. Trying to break up a marriage because you’re upset about a home is insane. However, inviting people to rape someone is criminal. A man actually showed up at this woman’s house! What if he took things too far? I hope she serves a good amount of time. I can only imagine the grief that this poor couple has gone through.

Alabama Rep. Loses Bet About White Parents Not Adopting Black Babies, Owes $100K

Uptown_Alvin Holmes

Rep. Alvin Holmes (D) of Alabama has found himself in some hot water after making inflammatory comments regarding white parents adopting black children.

Holmes was in the middle of a debate over an abortion bill and insisted to anti-abortion lawmakers that 99% of legislators would force their daughters to abort the baby if she was impregnated by a black man. He went on to say:

“I will bring you $100,000 cash tomorrow if you show me a whole bunch of whites that adopted blacks in Alabama,” he said then. “I will go down there and mortgage my house and get it cash in $20 bills and bring it to you in a little briefcase.”

Naturally, this angered white parents in Alabama who have adopted black children. They staged a protest at the capital demanding the Holmes apologize and honor his bet.

Beverly and Jeromy Owings of Wetumpka, AL started the Faces of Families in Alabama Facebook page to gather support as a result of Holmes’ comments. They are the parents of a 13-year old adopted biracial daughter who was very upset by Holmes’ comments.

Beverly told ABC News,  ”I would like for him to ‘man up.’ He’s made the statement. He needs to put his money where is mouth is.”

Her husband continued, “After we work on it [breaking down the racial barrier] and work on it to have an elected official that can come in and make those comments and tear down everything that we’ve worked hard for. It puts a question in their minds of ‘Do I belong?’ ‘Where do I belong?”

To give this some historical context, Holmes was first elected to state legislature in 1974, when George Wallace was still governor.

For those who don’t know, Wallace is infamous for a statement he made just 11 years prior to Holmes’ election: “In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.”

Holmes was also responsible for introducing the bill to repeal the ban on interracial marriage in Alabama. The law, though it was no longer enforced, was still on the books in 1999, and Holmes began the movement to remove it. He cited information gleaned from that movement to support his statements about adoption, recalling that his bill passed by only 59 percent. ”The majority of white people in the state of Alabama are against adopting black children and the majority of white people in the state of Alabama are against their daughters having babies by black men and I stand by that comment,” he says.

However, none of this excuses Holmes’ comments. I understand that Holmes lived through a ridiculously prejudiced time in our nation’s history and the pain from that probably resonates with him today. And I’m not even going to deny that there is probably some truth to what Holmes said. However, to insist on something based on speculation is irresponsible. As an elected official, he has to be able to separate his bias from his ability to serve. His comments were insulting to families with adopted children and biracial families alike. He needs to apologize for his remarks if for no other reason than that the people he has been tasked to serve do not feel that he has accurately represented them or their interests.

Leonard Burnett, Jr., Co-CEO of U Brands and father of two remarks,  “I am excited about our new content destination that will defy stereotypes about our fathers and promote positive portrayals of African American Dads which are often missing in the media.”  Notorious POP notes that generally the phrases “Black Fatherhood” and “Black Dad” are accompanied by the phrases absentee and crisis. The statistic that is often reported by the media is that Black fathers are more likely to live separately from their children, but the fact remains that Black Dads are actually more involved with their kids on a daily basis than Dads from other racial groups.”

The mission of Notorious POP is to create a worldwide community for expecting, new and veteran fathers. Notorious POP will debut on Monday, June 2, 2014 and will be an immediate resource for parenting advice and will feature editorial franchises and video content.

“I am eager to reach and entertain an audience filled with Dads like myself and empower our community with helpful content that is always honest, insightful and fresh. Police found 7 Dead Bodies in Megan Huntsman's Former Home
Police are investigating Megan Huntsman after 7 dead babies found in her former home are believed to be her own. She was arrested and charged with six counts of murder on Sunday.

Investigators believe Huntsman, 39, gave birth to the babies and then murdered them from 1996 – 2006, discarding them in cardboard boxes in her garage. Police are not releasing details about the bodies until DNA tests return or why there are six charges instead of seven.

Huntsman’s estranged husband made the gruesome discovery while cleaning out the garage. He alerted police to the scene of their former home after discovering the body of a full term infant on Saturday, Police Capt. Michael Roberts said. Upon arrival, the six other bodies were discovered.

Police say the man, later identified as Darren West, is believed to be the father of all seven children. West was recently released from prison but is not considered a person of interest. They believe he did not know of the murders.
uptown utah home megan huntsman
When questioned by reporters on how West could have gone years without noticing the disappearance of his children, Roberts replied, “”That’s the million-dollar question. Amazing.” Instead, they are looking for answers from those closest to her.

Neighbors questioned by police said that Huntsman appeared to carry on a “normal life” in the middle class neighborhood of older homes. They are shocked that Huntsman’s three older daughters that stayed in the home did not grow suspicious of their mother. Neighbors said they did not know she was pregnant, thinking she had gained and lost large amounts of weight. Most neighbors agree they had no reason to believe anything was out of the ordinary.

Sharon Chipman, who lived next door to the home, told reporters she was a great neighbor and had watched her grandson.

“She took good care of him. She was good. This really shocks me,” she said.

“Hey Ma”: The 8 Most Annoying Pick-Up Tactics

$

UPTOWN_street_harassment

Leah Green, a producer for The Guardian recently created a viral video in which she harasses men in the ways that women are typically harassed on the street. She goes up to guys complimenting their asses and asking if they’d like to go home with her, making them uncomfortable in the ways that women are made to feel on a daily basis.

In honor of that, we’ve created a little list of some of the more common ways in which guys talk to girls. Most of you ladies will have encountered many, if not all of these pick-up tactics multiple times. Guys, check to see if your approach is on the list — if so you may want to get a new one.

The Starer

Uptown_TheStarer

Have you ever felt someone’s eyes just laser beaming a hole on the side of your face? This guy is the creeper who sits across the room, and just stares at you in what I’m assuming is supposed to be admiration. Giving a girl the sexy eye prior to the approach is a welcomed tactic. However, staring at her with no intention of saying anything comes off as extremely creepy.

The Car Caller

2 guys_window

The car caller is the guy who is hollering some mess at you from his car as you’re walking past. Are you expecting me to come over to your car and lean over into the window? Save that mess for the drive-thru. I don’t care if you’re in the driver’s seat, this is a no-no.

The Toucher

handsoff

These gentlemen are a particular annoyance of mine. They find any kind of way to get their hands on you. They’re the ones to grab your hand while you walk past, or casually put an arm over your shoulders as if they know you. Toucher, I’m going to have to ask that you refrain from touching me because I don’t know you. Thanks.

The Pastor

Thank You_Mike

Pastors are the guys who randomly bestow blessings on you. You can be standing there minding your own business when the Pastor comes around, pauses, looks you in the eye and says, “God bless you, gorgeous.” On the surface, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with this, but this intro tends to be the holiest statement that will come out of that man’s mouth in the entire time of you knowing him. He ain’t that godly — it’s just an opening. What’s funniest about Pastors is that they will often say that and walk away, so you’re just left like, “Um … thanks?”

The Sexual Healer

Ew

These guys are real gems. The Sexual Healer sells himself by making promises about the bedroom. He’s the one who will make explicit comments to you as a means of introduction. This is the type of guy who has sentences that begin like: “Girl, if you taste as good as you look …” Boy, bye!

The Sound Machine

wolf-whistle-o

Theses guys don’t know how to open their mouths to speak. Instead they feel the need to make noises at you: smooching, pssst-ing, clapping, snapping, barking, etc. It’s really insulting because it makes you feel like some kind of pet at their beck and call.

The T-Pain

MozarellaSticks

I call these guys T-Pains in reference to his song “Buy U A Drink.” These guys are the ones who bring you a drink or have one sent to your table to get your attention. While this isn’t rude like a lot of the other tactics, it lacks creativity and doesn’t tell me anything about you. That may be an icebreaker, but you still need to come over and say something! Also, please note that just because you made the decision to buy me a drink, does not mean that I’m making the decision to be your party companion all night.

The Salesman

what did you say?

The salesman is the one who reads you his resume as a means of introduction. He’s ticking off his list of attributes like he’s trying to sell you a car. God forbid you politely decline because you have a boyfriend. The Salesman will start telling you why he’s better, as if he’s the upgraded model of what you currently have. Sir, have a drink of water and a seat please.

RHOA Season 6 Reunion Clip

After last night’s drama filled season 6 finale and after show, Bravo producers rolled out the first clips from the explosive Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion show.

“It was a lot going on,” Nene Leakes told Andy Cohen during the after show taping of Watch What Happens Live. “It was just a lot of conversations and a lot of things to work through.”

Well Nene the clips tells a different story. This was definitely not a therapy session with a happy ending.

Related: Peter Thomas to NeNe Leakes: Who You Calling A Bitch?

In the clip, Kenya Moore is seen with a number of props used during her confrontation with Porsha Williams. Kenya whips out out a bullhorn to “talk over” Porsha when she is interrupted.

During another confrontation Kenya points a wand over Cynthia Bailey into Porsha’s face, which the recent divorcee quickly grabs from her hand. This leads to Porsha approaching Kenya before the camera fades to black and screams are heard. A series of images show Kenya attacking Porsha on the ground before being carried off the set. Later, Kenya called 911 to have police called to the scene.

Nene who “saw everything” felt “Kenya kept trying Porsha” and “violated her over and over again.” She added that she doesn’t condone violence. “She got up and confronted Kenya and Porsha’s reaction was Porsha’s reaction.”

Since the reunion special, rumors have swirled that castmates Nene, Cynthia, Kandi Buruss and Phaedra Parks may walk if Porsha is kicked off the show. Seems Nene is campaigning for Cynthia to be kicked off the show since she only talks about her and Peter’s business ventures.

The reunion special will hopefully answer some of the burning questions about Apollo’s charges of identity theft and fraud. Andy teases the question as Phaedra and Apollo sit side by side with an unsure look on their faces. Seems just like the world, they are waiting for answers. The Reunion special airs April 20 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Check out the clip below and get the popcorn ready.

Jermaine Jones, a disqualified contestant from the reality show, has joined the racial discrimination lawsuit that alleges the singing competition show unfairly oppressed black men.

Jones was disqualified from American Idol Season 11 after producers learned he had outstanding warrants in New Jersey. Upon learning of the lawsuit in July 2013, he originally distanced himself from it.

“I am offended they tried to paint me as a victim of discrimination. I appreciate the experience from Idol and embraced the good and bad from it,” says Jones at that time.

Since then, Jones has joined the suit and released an exclusive statement to ABC News. In the statement he said he did not sign up for the show to be “falsely portrayed as a thug or a ‘gangsta.’”

“I was and continue to be appreciative of the opportunity to perform as a Top 10 contestant during Season 11 of ‘American Idol,’ which was once considered the world’s biggest stage for up-and-coming recording artists. And I wanted to believe that my humiliating public disqualification in March 2012 was just part of the show and an experience that could be internalized and ultimately forgotten. But I realize now, with the support of my family and friends, that Equal Rights under the law (or in this case, under contest rules) is something we must always strive for and never take for granted,” Jones said.

The $250 million suit alleges that over the past decade producers of the popular TV show have practiced a pattern of racial discrimination against black males who were disqualified for reasons “unrelated to their singing talent.”

The other contestants include Corey Clark, Jaered Andrews, Donnie Williams, Terrell Brittenum, Derrell Brittenum, Thomas Daniels, Akron Watson, Ju’Not Joyner and Chris Golightly.

Producers have shot back to dismiss the suit pointing to the show winners Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Jordin Sparks and Candice Glover saying:

“During the show’s twelve seasons, four of the winners have been African-American. African-Americans thus have participated in key stages of the contest at more than double their proportion of the country’s population.”

Rapper Ludacris was ordered to pay Tamika Fuller, the mother of his newborn, $7,000 a month in child support after presenting court documents that he could afford $1,800 a month.

The rapper, known in court documents as Chris Bridges, fathered Cai Bella Bridges with Fuller while taking a break from his relationship with girlfriend Eudoxie. Cai was born in December 2013.

Luda filed the suit to establish paternity and reduce child support payments. He claimed that as a result of his Fast & Furious 7 co-star Paul Walker’s death halting production on the latest installment he averaged $25,842.41 a month in earnings. In addition, he hasn’t released a solo album in four years. His latest singles have not done well, which has led to reports that his label has pushed back the release of his new album Ludaversal.

According to Radar Online, a judge has ruled that the 36-year-old rapper is responsible for the monthly child support, Fuller’s attorney fees, and a payment of $35,000. Fuller claimed that Ludacris had not seen their child since she was born. The judge granted full custody of 4-month-old Cai to Fuller.

Ludacris seems to be taking the judgement in stride. He’s back at work on Fast & Furious 7 in Abu Dhabi with costars Vin DieselThe Rock, Tyrese and Jordana Brewster. Producers have found a way to work around Walker’s death, which occurred in the middle of filming last year. Sources say that his character Brian O’Connor will be retired from the series. The movie is slated for an April 2015 release.

In Rihanna‘s world, lingerie as outerwear is a definite do. In our world, we save it for the bedroom. RiRi kept it extra sexy in a white satin bustier and matching robe from the Ulyana Sergeenk Couture SS2014 collection.

Rihanna’s old school beauty details — brushed down baby hair and French pedicure — were surprisingly refreshing on a 2014 red carpet.
